- Immediately on test drive this car exceeded 1500 dollar alotment to add onto maint. as at least one rear (L) wheeel bearing is bad and most likely another is close behind. secondly when accelerating thru the 40 mph speed zone the engine cut hard as tho there were a rev limiter cutting it off. this requires further diag and is odd for this modelcar. this greartly reduces the value of this recent work and the reliability of the car. additionally the L camshaft seal is leaking and requires timing belt removal to correct. as the images show the transmission oil filter is original, and so is the sealant on trans pan, this would be highly advised to be up dated and fully serviced. the out put shaft L on diffferential also shows chaffing and metal paste, anouncing futture problems. general maint records would be helpfull as driveline fluid services are crucial and strongly advised done, at which time more advanced estimate of machines condition can be determined. the plastic headlight buckets and lenses of this generation degrade in uv light and are highly comprimised for winter NW driving and should also be replaced.
